BDNUG: November 2007 Meeting Results

Better late than never:

On the second Tuesday of November we had an excellent Bloomington .NET User Group meeting. Here is a summary of what occurred:

  • Pete Maroun gave us two great presentations. Since the new Zune software had just been released, he ran us through some of the great new Zune features. After that, he gave a very insightful presentation on Visual Studio 2008 and some of the great new features coming in .NET 3.5. I learned alot and as usual, Pete does a great job of keeping things interesting while conveying a passion for what he is talking about. Thanks Pete.
  • We gave away a lot of great prizes. I don't remember everything, but I believe it included the following:
    • MS Office 2007 Ultimate Edition
    • MS Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo
    • MS Tumbler (cup)
    • Shirts with Office logos
    • A Re-Sharper Personal License (generously provided by JetBrains)
  • We ate some great food (generously provided by Leroy, Ray, & Shoup)

There was a bunch of cool people who attended. As always, it is great to see both new and old faces. Thanks to everyone who participated in this and all of the BDNUG meetings of 2007. We have gained a lot of momentum since June of 2007 and 2008 looks to be even better. We already have 3 great speakers booked and a more cool prizes to give away. I look forward to our next meeting in January 2008.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of the BDNUG crowd!
