I should say "Happy belated birthday". On September 22nd, 2007 this blog turned 3 years old. Three years ago, I started with the ubiquitous "First Post". Since then I have published innumerable (because I was too lazy to count them) blog posts, one article on CodeProject.com and one article on DotNetSlackers.com. The blog was originally created using Blogger and then I migrated it to Community Server.
Tod1d.net averages 300 visitors each day (9,000/month) and 40 subscribers. Not too bad for a hobby. The original intent of this site was to be a knowledge base for me and others to use to troubleshoot software development issues, primarily related to ASP.NET. By my own estimations I feel I have been successful. When I run into a familiar looking error message, I will often search Google for the error message by prefixing it with "tod1d". The results will often include a past blog post where I have documented the solution.
One of my personal highlights of this experience has been when friends and co-workers have told me "I was searching for a solution and your blog showed up at the top of the results and your post help me solve my problem."
If you are regular reader of this blog, I appreciate your interest and I think you for taking time out of your day to read what I have to say. Here's to the next 3 years.
